Since
our incorporation in 1984, we have enjoyed steady, controlled
growth. Today, we manage a significant and well-established portfolio
of properties. Our strata properties constitute the major portion
of our client base, and include the largest strata complex in
Western Canada (1,222 units). Separate and apart from strata management,
we were commissioned by the provincial government in 1985 to become
involved in operational restructuring and ongoing management of
a complex portfolio of approximately 700 real properties throughout
the province. We remain the managers today.
Our achievements
in property management have a lot to do with the fact that the
company is family owned and operated. As such, the principals
of The Wynford Group have always maintained an active involvement
in operational matters with a strong commitment to our clients.
We are licensed,
bonded, and fully accredited by the various governing bodies and
the Superintendent of Real Estate for the management of property
and the maintenance of trust accounts. With respect to the latter,
we are subject to audit by the Auditor General of B.C. as well
as the Superintendent of Real Estate. Also, all of our property
managers along with the principals of the company are licensed
under the guidelines of the Real Estate Council of B.C., which
is the regulatory authority for the Superintendent of Real Estate.
In terms of
the property management market, we are not numbered among the
largest companies in the field; however, size is not an objective
of our company. From the outset, we have taken a very conservative
approach to growth so as to not over-reach our capabilities at
any time. We have always sought to ensure that we have the ability
to provide services based on our standards without affecting our
existing clients. Over the years, we have enjoyed a high level
of success and a reputation for integrity, competence and corporate
stability. We are very proud of the fact that this reputation
is based to a large extent on our financial and administrative
skills. In order to maintain our standards and not achieve productivity
at the expense of the individual, we have set a controlled upper
limit of properties handled per manager, which is based on the
size and requirements of each property managed.
